Town Manager

Responsibilities
The town manager is hired / appointed by the Town Board. As the chief executive officer of the Town of Gardnerville, he is directly responsible to the Town Board to develop and implement policies guiding the town.

Town Strategic Plans
The Town’s Strategic Plan offers direction and focus for maintaining and improving our community. The Capital Improvement Plan is reviewed every year and projects are updated, added, and changed as an integral plan for the town’s future and a key tool to ensure the town’s long-term fiscal sustainability.

Background
Dallaire moved to the Carson Valley in 1984, where he finished the eighth grade at Carson Valley Middle School. He graduated from Douglas High in 1989 and attended Oregon Institute of Technology, Klamath Falls, Oregon, where he graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Technology.

Over the past 15 years, he was employed by various local engineering firms and left his own engineering firm to join the Gardnerville team as town engineer. He is a licensed engineer in Nevada, California, Idaho, and Oregon. He has been the town engineer since August 2009. He is working hard to improve and enhance the town of Gardnerville and serve its residents.
