Sidewalks - Please keep your sidewalks free of debris. And when it snows, please keep sidewalk free of ice and snow.
Resolution 05-01 adopted by the Gardnerville Town Board on March 1, 2001, stipulates that:
1. An owner of property within the Town of Gardnerville shall be responsible to maintain, reconstruct or repair a sidewalk in a public right-of-way that abuts his property by:
            A. The repair and reconstruction of a sidewalk in the public right-of-way that abuts the property of an owner if the owner caused the need for such repair or reconstruction; and
            B. The general maintenance of a sidewalk in the public right-of-way that abuts the property of the owner, including, without limitation, sweeping, removal of snow, ice and weeds, and maintenance of any grass, shrubs or trees that encroach on the sidewalk.

Temporary signs -
Please be aware that “garage sale” and other temporary signs CANNOT be taped or otherwise put on street lights or street sign posts. Not only is this against Douglas County Code, tape adhesives quickly ruin painted surfaces. You have a significant investment in poles and posts, especially the decorative type. You may call the Town offices and report the location of signs at 782-7134.

Portable Basketball Goals -
Having a portable basetball goal in the street is not safe and could be a liability risk for the property owner. Please help out and keep this type of equipment in the driveway. It really helps us out with monthly street sweeping, which is done the first week of each month (weather permitting).

Street Sweeping Schedule -
First Wednesday and Thursday of each month.
Additional sweeping would still occur on Wednesday or Thursday as needed for storm drain cleaning and flood control.
